Custom Automation and Robotics Systems
The process of designing and manufacturing automatic equipment almost always requires some customization to meet the needs of the customer. In a number of cases we address this by designing and manufacturing custom automation equipment, often based on our current models of automation equipment.
Over the years we have designed machines to work with string, floppy disk media, photo-disks, and a variety of other materials. In the process, we have developed special techniques for manufacturing with fragile films and other materials. We usually prepare development and manufacturing proposals to meet the specific requirements of the customer.
Almost by definition, there is no such thing as a typical project in this field, and most are proprietary or confidential. Some of our projects have included machines to put loops in box performs during automatic manufacturing, machines to put slip knots in cardboard forms, then wind a length of string around the form, and custom four axis robot which loads test tubes in an analyzer. Our strength lies in ability to use computers, pneumatics, hydraulics, servomotors, and electronics as required for design flexibility.
