Versatile by Design
The 144 series was designed from the ground up for efficient production of labels, award ribbons, continuous ribbons, and similar roll media. Our unique modular design provides you with the versatility to buy a press ideally matched to your business. Forget hand-pulling. The Model 144 can pull any length from 2 inches to 2 miles.
High Speed
Time really is money, and the 144 series will do the big job and still get you home for dinner. Easy maintenance and reliable components give predictable service. Extremely quick air operated print heads give the best print performance for those difficult jobs. The quick rap printing mininizes bridging, spiderwebs and other hot foil production headaches. Foil, type or die characteristics and materials will affect the actual production rate. Typical production rates are from 150 to 180 impressions per minute.
Precision Printing
High quality construction and precise alignment of printing surfaces means less make-ready time. Advanced controls allow speed adjustment, precise temperature control, type alignment and cut positioning. Simple, accurate controls mean easy job setups and repeatable operations.
Show Your Colors
Print four or more colors per head: Drop in a logo in one color and type in another. Multiple heads configurations for almost any possible design. Provide your customers the colors they want. Multicolor job can be printed with excellent registration. Run outlines around text and snuggle those graphics in close. Applications in satin ribbon, continuous ribbon, and label stock have demonstrated great results. Actual registration varies with material and dereeler choice. Adjust registration on the fly with precise loopers.
Expand Your Horizons
The Model 144 Series can give you up to 4 " by 12" from a single head or 4" by 24" from a double head, even greater from a triple head. Print sashes in a single pass.
Just Your Type
Three kinds of type holders are available. Whether you use dies, hand-set type, or lead line type, or a combination, the Model 144 has a chase for you. The unique New Idea die holder chase offers the ultimate in productivity for the high volume shop, with inexpensive fixturing and fast setup.
